It wasn't until after her second daughter was born in 2014 during, where she learned the art of cosmetic tattooing. Learning these skills allowed her to open up her first successful cosmetic tattoo shop while living in Kelowna.

In 2017, Vivian and her family moved back to Calgary. She continued to do cosmetic tattoos from her home studio, while working at a local medical spa treating skin concerns. In 2019, Kintsugi Studio -a Gua Sha and Facial Boutique Studio was founded, where her desire to continue helping individuals heal their skin concerns grew. During the cusp of the 2020 pandemic, she decided to leave her job and focus on Kintsugi Studio full-time.
